Program:
Cohort 3 Condensed Course
What is the ExPAND Condensed Course?
The condensed course is a free, asynchronous, and synchronous online curriculum that synthesizes high quality existing resources from across the reproductive health community in the United States into a structured, digestible format that is feasible to engage.
Our Vision
Every safety net provider in the United States where people who can become pregnant seek care, is prepared to offer timely, evidence-based care for early abortion and early pregnancy loss (EPL).
We recognize that in this moment, not every provider can reach this goal for political and logistical reasons. However, we move all participants towards fulfillment of this vision. We meet every participant where they are, flexibly, and with a realistic approach to practice transformation, to yield the quickest change we can, to serve the most patients.
Course Information
- Four synchronous, virtual sessions over 3-4 months
- Participants complete pre-work before each session and create a comprehensive workplan to self-guide their progress
- Participants complete evaluation activities, including pre- and post- surveys
In collaboration with the Midwest Access Project (MAP)
MAP, a long-standing provider of comprehensive reproductive health training, has partnered with the University of Chicago and Brigham and Women’s Hospital to support a diverse cohort of clinicians seeking to safely prescribe mifepristone for early pregnancy loss or medication abortion from their current practice in a trauma informed, language concordant, and gender affirming manner.
Funding for ExPAND Mifepristone Collaborative Project is provided in whole or in part by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
